Sofia will host the Fourth International Poster Triennial starting October 4 to end October 30. The National Contemporary Art Center will present an exhibition of 378 stage posters by 162 artists from 32 countries. "Funny" will be this year special theme of the triennial. An international jury will distinguish the winners in the final competition. Three Bulgarian artists - Bozhidar Ikonomov, Bozhidar Yonov and Albena Spasova - founded the Sofia Triennial ten years ago. The aim was to display the contemporary tendencies in the poster art intended for different stage events - theatre, opera, ballet, pantomime, performances, concerts, festivals, etc.
