Bulgarians are unlikely to be scared soon of hiking liquor prices, as they remain regular alcohol drinkers, according to a fresh survey.
Women respondents have delivered almost the same answers as men approached in the survey of the National Statistical Institute.
A total of 64% of respondents stated they would not give up consuming liquor drinks.
Grape and plum brandies are still favored by tradition in Bulgaria. However, beer and wine appeared to be twice more often consumed than brandy, which is still by large homemade.
Vodka, whiskey and regular brandy rate much lower among Bulgarian liquor palettes, according to statistics. Yet light liquors and cocktails tail on the list of least preferred drinks.
The survey showed that about 36% of responding Bulgarians defined themselves as teetotalers, while 16% stated they are used to drinking every day.
Results also showed that most liquor is usually consumed during football matches.
