The spirit of Hindu and Krsna followers has enlivened capital Sofia for a couple of days during the annual Hindu festival.

Hinduism followers celebrate God Jagannatha, the Lord of Universe, who during the festival is believed to descend among people and see all those who are unable to visit his temple.

The pinnacle of the festival Ratha Yatra is marked with a procession of a chariot, or "car", known as "ratha" making its "yatra", or tour, among the believers.

Once each year, for a period of about 15 days, Lord Jagannatha travels out to spread his mercy. Those who have the good fortune to view the Jagannatha deities, or who help to pull the chariots along on their ropes, are benefited by the Lord during the "ratha yatra" parade.
