The Bulgarian Sfumato Theatre will stage guest performances in Paris at the Theatre de la Tempete, a twin of Theatre du Soleil of Ariane Mnouchkine, a noncommercial theatre space using innovatory language even in its classical works stagings. Afterwards the theatre will stage performances in Moscow and Novosibirsk. The Sfumato Theatre is a profit-making enterprise, one of the few state theatres in Bulgaria whose payments to the national budget exceed the funds received as subsidies. Sfumato opened its 13th season, on October 26 at the Sarajevo International Festival.
