The leaders of the movement explained their decision with the fact that it is time to overcome the negativism of the past and that the Bulgarian Socialist Party was reformed. Ahmed Dogan, leader of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms said before the meeting of the movement' s Central Council that he will personally vote for Georgi Parvanov since he does not have other choice. Both the pre-election headquaters of Parvanov and Stoyanov have urged the Movement for Rights and Freedoms to support their candidates.
