A major festival dedicated to the life and the work of the great Swedish director Ingmar Bergman will take place in Sofia in October.
During the three October weeks dedicated to Bergman Sofia will enjoy 23 movies of the great movie director. Two books will be published for the special event and a documentary exhibition will be organized.
The organizers of the major event- Bulgaria's Cinema Center and Sweden's Embassy in Sofia- announced that they are doing their best to present Bergman's last movie "Sarabande" that is sequel of the 1973 "Scenes from a Marriage".
Ingmar Bergman's fest in Sofia will be opened with the presentation of his 1975 hit "The Magic Flute".
The exhibition that will be organized within the Bergman festival will reveal the secrets of Bergman's youth.
Bergman is one of the most revered directors in cinema history, best known for the medieval epic The Seventh Seal and the US hit Cries and Whispers.
