DOGAN: MAY BE I AM A TRAM…

Politics | November 11, 2001, Sunday // 00:00

If 150 000 voters for our candidate Reneta Indzhova is a formal support, so may be I am a tram, Akhmed Dogan, Movement for Rights and Freedom leader said, commenting Indzhova’s accusation that Movement supported her only formally. Not more that half of the MRF’s supporters voted for Indzhova, although Dogan officially backed her. Indzhova made some comments earlier Sunday evening that is a little bit disappointed of the low support by the Turkish minority dominated movement, as the minority in Bulgaria is estimated to some 800 000 people. The results show that the leftist party in the country is more powerful that we can predict, Dogan said.
