Bulgarian-born Philip Kirkorov, Russia's richest and most flamboyant artist, staged a major show at the National Palace of Culture Thursday night after a big tour in the United States.

The concert in the fully packed hall culminated in parts of the Russian version of the Broadway musical Chicago, starring Kirkorov and his beloved Nastya Stotskaya.

Kirkorov is scheduled to make a performance in the Black Sea city of Varna on June 26.

The mega star arrived in Bulgaria June 22 and was warmly welcomed by fans and media.

Philip has received two "Monte-Carlo World Music Awards" as a Best Selling Russian Artist in 1996 and 1999. He is also in the Guinness Book of World Records for the most sold out shows performed in a row - a 32-concert marathon at the same venue (4 000 seats).

The major musician has proved to be one of the most intriguing and progressive Russian performers.
