"The future of Bulgaria as a member of the European Union is its natural and irrevocable final aim. Bulgaria will contribute effectively to the integration of the continent, and its accession to the Union will yield a series of positive results for both sides," Bulgarian Prime Minister Simeon Saxe-Coburg said in Budapest in his address to the participants in the 25th European meeting of the Trilateral Commission. “Bulgaria's unique traditions, language and culture will enrich the identity of the EU,” the Bulgarian Prime Minister pointed out. Earlier during the day the need for concrete projects for enhancing the bilateral relations between Hungary and Bulgaria was pointed out at a meeting between the Prime Ministers of the countries. The two high-ranked officials described the development bilateral relations as excellent. In the presence of the two countries' ambassadors, Orban and Saxe-Coburg informed each other about the political and economic situation in their countries. Hungarian Prime Minister pledged that the Government ensures state support for Hungarian business within Bulgaria. Saxe-Coburg told reporters after the meeting that he had an interesting, pleasant discussion with Viktor Orban. He also thanked for the Hungarian support of the Bulgarian bid to enter the North Atlantic Alliance.
