BULGARIA MAY PARTICIPATE IN UN HUMANITARIAN ACTION

“Discussions for Bulgarian involvement in a United Nations humanitarian action in Afghanistan after the end of the military activities and the taleban regime is overthrown are under way,” Lyubomir Ivanov, President of the Atlantic Club said in his address to the participants in the “Terrorism, Culture, Religion” conference, Info Radio reported. “This alternative is evident and inevitable,” Ivanov pointed out. In case that the Government decides Bulgaria to participate in the UN humanitarian action, the Bulgarian Parliament will have to ratify that move with a resolution. Ivanov confirmed the Bulgarian Defense Minister’s statement earlier in the day that US demands for military aircraft should be soon expected.
