Bulgarian Film Invited to European Cinema Festival

Bulgarian movie director Silvia Pesheva was invited to present her film "Crazy Day" at the Festroia festival in Portugal.

The prestigious European cinema film festival will take place June 4 to 13.

"Crazy Day" was presented at the Cannes festival as well. Silvia Pesheva says that she aimed to create a colourful and happy film, which is optimistic. "Crazy Day" was awarded at the Sofia Film fest as well.

The movie tells the story of the18-year old Ina that looks after her eccentric grandfather. She gives drawing lessons and hopes to make a career as children's books illustrator.

The director of the movie Silvia Pesheva, 28, studied cinema and television directing at the National Academy of Theatrical and Film Arts in Sofia. During her studies she made 4 short film novellas, one of which, Magic Lens (1999), was selected for the "Kinotaur" festival in Kiev.
