In an open letter, Vladimir Filipov, former Foreign Policy Secretary of the President accused the presidential candidate Bonev that he can threaten the Bulgarian relations with important partner countries, Dnevnik Daily wrote. Recalling that he left his position in the Presidency with positive feelings towards Stoyanov, he adds: “ With big words how one has arranged the meeting with the Russian President, one insults the least insults one’s country, to which one claims that is a lawyer” According to Filipov, the official visit to Russia, paid by Petur Stoyanov was desired by both countries. No unofficial channels to arrange the meeting were used, Filipov claims. In his letter, Filipov accuses Bonev that while being Interior Minister he sabotaged the presidential policy, recalling the phone tapping scandal of the Russian ambassador. Filipov claims that he has also been phone tapped. The former presidential secretary does not exclude the possibility that Stoyanov himself has been phone tapped.
