Oldest Bulgarian Capitals Eye Budgeting

The state budget will provide for about BGN 3.5 M for conservation and reconstruction works in oldest Bulgarian capitals, Pliska and Preslav.

Minister Milen Velchev, cited by an MP, has committed to plan the funds needed for the two archeological reserves in budget 2005.

It is for the first time that both archeological sites will be budgeted and the government has engaged with the preservation of cultural monuments.

Both oldest capitals, announced for architectural reserves, are situated in the northeast of Bulgaria.
