BONEV CALLED ON THE PEOPLE TO VOTE
Politics | November 6, 2001, Tuesday // 00:00
In a presidential debate, broadcasted by the Bulgarian National Television on November 6, Bogomil Bonev said that the editors of the leading Bulgarian press had access to the report that Stoyanov disclosed in the bTV presidential debate. According to Bonev, the reason that Stoyanov showed the report was because the surveys show that “change is possible.” “The institution of the Bulgarian Presidency is being discredited. The aim is to make you think that the presidential competition is not worth and thus, fewer people to cast their vote, “ Bonev said in the presidential debate, during which Petur Stoyanov did not participate. Bogomil Bonev called on the Bulgarians to vote no matter whether it is for him or somebody else. “ Vote. Only this is the way to forget the old ways and to enter the 21st century,” he concluded.
