Last week a long queue on the Greek side of the border at “Kulata” checkpoint was reported. “The queue is six-seven kilometers long,” Michalis Christidis, the Greek Ambassador to Bulgaria, said in an interview for Darik Radio after his visit at the checkpoint with Finance Minister Milen Velchev. According to him the queue has been caused by the Bulgarian Customs, where the check-up procedure took too much time. Minister Velchev instructed the customs house officers how to deal with the difficult situation and the problem was solved in three days. Ambassador Khristidis declined to mention directly those who should be held responsible for the near closure of the border.
