The European Investment Bank will lend a total of EUR 600 M to BG by the end of 2002 for the implementation of several infrastructure projects, Finance Minister M. Radev said. He met EIB Vice President Wolfgang Roth at the annual EBRD meeting. EIB will extend a loan of EUR 224 M for the construction of Trakiya trunk road connecting Sofia and the Black Sea port of Burgas, EUR 65 M for the construction of the transit road connecting Sofia, Kalotina and Nis in Yugoslavia and EUR 75 M for the improvement of the water supply networks in several BG municipalities.
