CHINESE DELEGATION DISCUSSED BILATERAL RELATIONS

A delegation of the Committee for Internal and Judicial Affairs (CIJA) of the National People's Congress (NPC) of China is at an official visit to Bulgaria. The Chinese officials had a meeting with the Bulgarian Parliament Speaker. "Bulgarian-Chinese relations are developing in the spirit of traditional friendship and cooperation, to which the two countries' parliaments have contributed," Parliament Speaker Ognyan Gerdzhikov told the officials of the Committee for Internal and Judicial Affairs of the National People's Congress (NPC) of China. The Chinese delegation met with the parliamentary Bulgaria-China Friendship Group. The Chairman of the parliamentary group, Academician Blagovest Sendov, said, "Being a country with a dynamic and successful economy, China is a key partner to Bulgaria." The two countries have always had an interest in developing friendly relations and win-win cooperation. Trade and economic cooperation needs to be further promoted by establishing joint ventures and implementing joint projects, participants in the meeting said. The guests also conferred with members of the Parliamentary Committee on Civil Society Issues.
