Italian authorities refused to increase the number of single entry permits for Bulgarian forwarders, after the quota was exhausted, Bulgarian Transport official said. Bulgaria has asked for another 10,000 – 12,000 permits. 1000 more permits have been issued than the initially agreed 7,400. Italian forwarders have used 1,000 permits and 6, 400 are left. Since single entry permits are used primarily by small and medium sized enterprises, the refusal of the Italian authorities affected the work of some 130 companies.
