Bulgaria will join the world to mark the international Earth Day on April 22 for the second time.

The Earth Day will be officially celebrated in Sofia's Vitosha Nature Park where healed birds will be released.

The event will be attended by officials of the Agriculture Ministry and other government institutions, and international partners to the Green Balkans Movement, including US Embassy and Peace Corps representatives.

Different initiatives in connection to environmental issues will start across the country.
