“The current government has been the most successful one since 1989, as far as the foreign policy of Bulgaria is concerned,” Foreign Minister Passy wrote in his resume for the foreign policy of the Government. “The first 100 days of the Cabinet passed in circumstances of unprecedented international challenges. In spite of that, the Bulgarian Government reacted accordingly and acted unhesitatingly to stand up for the national interests and justice. Bulgaria achieved serious diplomatic accomplishments, based on the will and talent of the ruling majority,” the resume continues. Passy reiterates that the election of Bulgaria for non-permanent member to the UN Security Council is the first achieved pre-election promise of the Simeon II National Movement. “ We are resolute to make every Bulgarian citizen committed to the process of European integration and to gradually make reality the striving to get closer to the standard of the European Union,” the Bulgarian Foreign Minister stated.
