Las Vegas Philharmonic Music Director Harold Weller has been invited to conduct a major show in Sofia on April 14.
The performance marks his debut as a conductor in Europe.
Weller, the conductor of The Las Vegas Philharmonic will thrill the Bulgarian fans with music from the soundtracks of recent blockbuster "Lord of the Rings" as well as of "Raiders of the Lost Ark, "ET". His performance will be part of the Biochim Classic Jam cycle organized by local Jazz FM radio.
Weller has also chosen works by American music giants. Among the pieces he selected for the first half of the program are Aaron Copland's "Fanfare for the Common Man" and an excerpt from his "Appalachian Spring," Samuel Barber's "Adagio for Strings," selections from "West Side Story" by Leonard Bernstein and the "An American Salute" by Morton Gould.
