More music and news in Bulgarian is the formula of the new format launched by Deutsche Welle, Bulgaria section.

Its prime time daily program now includes five-minute news emissions per hour, in Bulgarian till 3 pm and in German and English till 7 am.

The new program scheme is part of a pilot project covering Kosovo, Albania and Bulgaria. It envisages the extended news-plus-music radio format on short frequencies with broadened commentaries and analysis on European and regional events.

We are sure that the radio has its irreplaceable role in modern communications and that it should affect through senses, by music, as well as verbally, DW's Director Erik Betermann told Novinite.com.
