BULGARIAN - KUWAITI COOPERATION TO BE ENHANCED

A Kuwaiti parliamentary delegation arrived in Bulgaria on October 29. Mehmed Dikme, the Bulgarian Minister of Agriculture, confirmed his invitation to the Amir of Kuwait, during his meeting with the Kuwaiti officials on October 30. Тhe two sides expressed the hope that the cooperation between the two countries will develop on the basis of the existing bilateral agreements. Invitations for visits in Bulgaria and Kuwait were exchanged between Ognyan Gerdzhikov, Bulgarian Parliamentary Speaker, and his Kuwaiti counterpart. Yunal Lyutfi, Chairman of the Bulgaria-Kuwait interparliamentary group and Deputy Chairman of the National Assembly, pointed out the active work of the interparliamentary group in its efforts to accelerate the economic and political cooperation between the two countries. Concrete programs in agriculture and economy are to be discussed during the delegation's visit. The Kuwaiti parliamentary delegation is to have meetings with Todor Kavaldzhiev, Vice President, Nikolay Vassilev, Deputy Prime Minister and Economy Minister and Foreign Minister Solomon Passy.
