Bulgarian Fans Mark The Lord of the Rings 50th Anniversary

The Bulgarian diehard fans of the legendary JRR Tolkien marked the 50th anniversary since the publishing of the first book of "The Lord of the Rings".

The Bulgarian fans gathered on Saturday to mark the event. A special seminar and an exhibition were opened in Sofia.

A total of 40 people are included in the Bulgarian fan club of the great author.

The final instalment of a film version of Tolkien's Lord of the Rings trilogy won 11 Oscars at the Academy Awards last weekend in Los Angeles.

JRR Tolkien, wrote The Lord of the Rings, one of the most popular books in Britain and a mainstay in bookshelves worldwide, in 1954-55.
