Harry Potter Author Joins Forbes Billionaires List

Harry Potter' author J.K. Rowling and the founders of the Google search engine were included in Forbes magazine's annual list of billionaires. Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates remains perched atop the list for the 10th straight year.

Meanwhile earlier in the week a Bulgarian boy who is currently living in London was chosen to play the part of Viktor Krum in the next Harry Potter movie. The lucky winner in the competition studies in London and lives there with his parents. His name was not disclosed.

Until the last moment, British casting directors hesitated whether the part should go to the London-living teenager, or to one of two other Krum wannabes. They were among the 46 candidates whose taped appearances were sent to London by a Bulgarian jury, led by producer Victor Bozhinov.

JK Rowling put Bulgaria at centre stage of the fourth book after being inspired by the country's fourth place in the 1994 World Cup. In Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, magicians from all over the world take part in the Quidditch World Cup, and Krum leads the Bulgarians.

London has turned down the suggestion that the whole team Krum leads be played by real Bulgarians in the movie.

The shooting of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire will start in April, its premiere is scheduled for 2005.
