Bulgaria's capital Sofia was illuminated for the fourth time by a glittering Vienna Ball on February 21, organized with the assistance and under the auspices of H.E. Karl Diem, Austria's Ambassador in Sofia.

The Vienna Club Association and Austria's Embassy in Sofia organized the charity event to raise funds for the reconstruction of Bulgarian national revolutionary Vassil Levsky monument in Thessaloniki and in aid of orphans, the Sofia Opera and the State Choreography School.

Some 500 people attended the charity event at Kempinski Zografski Hotel, among whom ministers, politicians, businessmen.

The Vienna Ball in Sofia took place for the first time seven years ago. A total of BGN 16, 000 were raised at the charity ball last year in aid of the neurosurgery center and the department for children's surgery at the Emergency Institute Pirogov in Sofia.
