The winner in the open tender for the aviation technical equipment of Bulgaria's bankrupt Balkan Airlines is BulSofAgro 2003, PARI Daily read on Wednesday.
The company won the auction bidding BGN 11 M for the base, including airplane hangars, laboratories, warehouses, and administrative buildings on a terrain of 18,562 square meters totally. The overall area of the buildings totals 20,571 square meters.
All bidders, including also present national carrier Bulgaria Air, Hemus Air and Scorpion Air, failed to outgo set off with an opening bid of BGN 3.3 M.
All candidates had installed a security deposit worth of BGN 330,000, or 10 % of the initial price. The winner BulSofAgro 2003 is to pay the remaining BGN 10.27 M within five calendar days following the auction date.
This is the second auction tender convoked by the State Receivables Collection Agency for real estate property and movables of one-time national flag carrier Balkan Airlines. The first tender was held behind closed doors, but no bidder showed up then.
