COMPENSATORY PAPER TRADE TO BE SUSPENDED
Business | October 24, 2001, Wednesday // 00:00
Compensatory paper trade will be suspended from January 1 to 15, 2002, representatives of the Union of compensatory paper owners announced. During this period a centralized register in the Central Depository will be prepared. Minor packages of 14 state-owned companies will be offered on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange and will be traded for compensatory paper, the owners added. The list includes Bulgartabac Holding, the Bulgarian Telecommunication Company, a 20% stake in the thermal power plant in Varna. The National Electricity Transmission Company (NETC, formerly National Electricity Company) is not on the list. The seven biggest electricity distribution companies, which were separated from NETC, are included in the list.
