BLACK SEA COUNTRIES WITH JOINT DECLARATION*

The General Assembly of the Association of Black Sea States signed a declaration on cooperation in the fight against crime and the environmental protection. The Assembly ended its 2nd session in Athens on Wednesday. Russia was represented by a delegation of the Moscow government led by head of the environmental department Leonid Bochin. He told Itar-Tass that the session participants discussed measures to fight organised crime, unanimously condemned terrorism and reached agreement on creating a single databank on criminal groups. Representatives of the Black Sea Mayor`s offices and prefectures, including Bulgaria, Georgia, Moldova, Russia, Turkey, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Albania and Armenia, conferred with Greek President Constantinos Stephanopoulous and parliament chairman Apostolos Kaklamanis.
