BG PARLIAMENT HELD ITS LAST SESSION

The 38th National Assembly held its last session on April 12, 2001 after a 4-year mandate. During its tenure the Parliament approved a total of 600 legislative texts, 135 of which were related to entirely new acts. Currently BG ranks second of the 12 EU aspirants in terms of legislative harmonization. The 38th National Assembly was the first parliament to survive through its full mandate.
