PM Should Stop Ex-communists from Holding on to Our Assets

Letters to the Editor | November 18, 2003, Tuesday // 00:00| Views: | Comments: 0

Dear Madam,

Today it has been announced in Sofia Morning News that the Prime Minister has had returned his parents' assets according to subject heading.

My Bulgarian wife, her relatives and friends are still waiting for the return of their assets, some 15 years after the end of communism.

Why doesn't the Prime Minister and his government prevent former communists from holding on to these assets, to their financial advantage?

Yours sincerely,

Gerald Davies, Winchester, England
