THE DUTCH GOVERNMENT TO GRANT USD 2 M

The Dutch government will grant USD 2 M to the Pleven municipality ` Pleven mayor Naiden Zelenogorski said. Some of the money will be invested in the production of animal feed that meets EU standards. Another portion of the amount will be used to improve regional environment. So far, the Dutch government has provided BGN 1.8 M to the municipality. The money was spend to streamline the operation of the local heating plant and to implement the country`s first pilot project on efficient use of heating and hot tap water. There was enough funding left to replace the heating installations and lighting fixtures of one local kindergarten, college, dormitory and art gallery.
