CHEMICAL PLANTS APPLY FOR ENVIRONMENTAL PERMITS

Officials from the Environmental Ministry met representatives of 12 large companies that apply for permits for pollution prevention and control. LUKoil Neftochim Burgas, Kremikovtzi, Neochim, Orgachim, Promet, Stomana Industry and Sofia Med have applied for permits. Issue of pilot permits for twenty Bulgarian chemical and metallurgical companies is one of the requirements set in the EUR 50 M World Bank loan for environmental protection and support for Bulgarian privatization.
