The Bulgarian bank Bulbank is the most profitable bank in Central and Eastern Europe for 2000. A Standard&Poors`annual survey of the 100 largest banks in the region showed that. Bulbank`s management achieved a return of assets of 6.55% for 2000. This figure is the highest among the 100 banks from the twelve surveyed countries. Ten Bulgarian banks were included in the top 100 list of the credit rating agency. Bulbank is the largest bank in Bulgaria.
