The US ambassador to Bulgaria Richard Miles granted over USD 250,000 humanitarian aid to 17 Bulgarian non-profit organizations, Dnevnik Daily wrote. Representatives of the hospitals, orphanages and schools which, will be financed by the US donation, attended the ceremony in front of the US Embassy in Sofia. The donation consists of medical materials, furniture, books and two vans `Dodge.` One of the vans will be used by the Krushari municipality for the school in Dobrin village. The other one will be used by the school in Topolovgrad. `In this time of impressive changes in Bulgaria, often the small human gesture is being neglected. There are a number of orphanages and hospitals that face numerous difficulties in Bulgaria. With this donation, we hope to help the Bulgarian people to overcome these hardships, `Miles said.
