LUXURY PRIVATE VEHICLES MOBILIZED BY THE ARMY

The Bulgarian army will mobilize luxury private vehicles. Military experts demand from the owners of expensive vehicles to declare their cars that will be entered in the military records. Those who had submitted a questionnaire, listing the full details of their cars, are obliged to give their vehicle to the army for exercises in peaceful times. If the owners of the expensive vehicles fail to declare them, the fines will range from BGN 1,500 to BGN 7,500. The Defense and Armed Forces of the Republic of Bulgaria Act regulates the fines. Lawyers commented that the act gives wide powers to the military. At the same time, according to them, the civilians are completely unaware of these powers.
