Israeli helicopters fired missiles in a strike on Gaza City on Saturday and reports claim the target was Sheikh Ahmed Yassin, co-founder of the radical Palestinian Hamas group. Hamas officials said the group's spiritual leader was injured in the hand and at least 10 other people were also hurt. The missiles hit a third-floor apartment belonging to a well-known Hamas activist. Sheikh Yassin and another senior Hamas official, Ismail Hanieh, were in the building at the time. Yassin was carried out of the building by his bodyguards and taken to his van. According to some reports, he was treated at Gaza City's Shifa Hospital.
