BULGARIAN DEBT TO PARIS CLUB MAY BE REMITTED

The Bulgarian government will have the unique opportunity to negotiate on at least a partial remission of the debts to the Paris Club, Standart Daily wrote. `The Paris Club may have to get involved in covering the accumulating now financial needs of some of the IMF member countries, by remitting their debts to the official creditors,` IMF CEO Horst Koeler said before the Fund`s Board of Directors. His address was sent to the governments of the 183 IMF member countries. In a statement onOctober 5, Horst Koeler appealed the developed countries and the entire international financial community to unite against the unfavourable influence of the terrorist attacks of September 11 in the USA. It transpired of this statement, the IMF commits to increase financing and reduce requirements to support the programs of the developing countries.
