Bulgarian soldiers that will take part in Iraq's peacekeeping are safe and healthy as they continue to move toward the country, officials from Bulgaria's Defence Ministry said Wednesday.
The troops haven't been involved in any accidents since they left Bulgaria, officials added.
The last group of the country's Iraq-bound main unit left August 13 from the military Krumovo airport nearby the country's second city of Plovdiv. The troops were first based in Kuwait to prepare for transfer into neighbouring Iraq.
Ship that carried their equipment arrived in Kuwait August 18, officials from Bulgaria's Defence Ministry reported on Monday.
