The Bulgarian Social Minister Lidia Shuleva met representatives of the syndicates `Podkrepa` and the `Confederation of the Independent Syndicates` on October 4. The Bulgarian Prime Minister Saxe-Coburg also participated in the meeting. The meeting took place because of a complaint on behalf of the syndicates. They filed a claim in the Higher Administrative Court for repeal of the Government`s decision to rise the heating, electricity and phone prices. The decisions of the government that influence the living standard of the population are to be made after consultations with the Social Partners according to a new article in the Labor Code. According to minister Shuleva the meaning of that article should be reviewed and clarified.
