Police Operation to Tighten Road Safety Measures in Bulgaria

Bulgaria's road police launched Friday special operation aimed at tightening road safety measures. The operation will end August 3. Earlier in the week another police operation showed that one in every six drivers in Bulgaria exceeds speed limits. The operation took place on Sunday and included checks on some 6,700 vehicles. Policemen discovered a total of more than 2600 law offences. Seventy-two of those behind the wheel didn't have a driving license, police officials alarmed.
