Bulgaria to Boost State Officials Training

Bulgaria will pay at least BGN 1 M for professional training of its state administration staff 2004, the country's State Administration Minister Dimitar Kalchev said Friday.

In 2003 funds for the training were some BGN 700,000-900,000, Kalchev added. The minister said that Bulgaria was one of the few countries where state officials do not undergo mandatory training.

By the end of 2003 Bulgaria will also launch online training for state administrators.
