Rare Thracian Statue Found in Bulgaria

Archeologist in the Bulgarian town of Stara Zagora found Tuesday a rare statue of Heros, the most honored god for the Thracians.

The marble statue is believed to be part of the decoration of a pagan temple during the first millennium B.C..

At the same site archeologist found remains of a church, which was probably demolished before they built the mosque on its ruins.
