Nearly thirty leftist movements plan to rally against NATO in Sofia on October 5, Dnevnik Daily wrote. Then the summit of the presidents of NATO candidate states will take place. The protest is organized by the Bulgarian Socialist Party, the Bulgarian Workers` Socialist Party, the Political Club Ecoglasnost, the Marxist Platform Union at the BSP, the Che Guevara youth revolutionary movement and the Bulgarian Committee on Neutrality. Protestors from Greece are also expected to join the demonstration. Strict security measures are to be taken during the summit, officials said.
