Famous Bulgarian Singer Dedicates Song to Beatle George Harrison

World famous singer of authentic Bulgarian songs Yanka Rupkina will make a record to honour rock star George Harrison.

The musician from legendary band Beatles who died in 2001 was a close friend of Rupkina's.

The song whose melody and lyrics are authored by Rupkina will hit the shelves in the beginning of this fall.

The Bulgarian singer arrived back from the United States a few days ago. In New York, Washington and Boston she teaches authentic Bulgarian music to art students.

The song to be dedicated to Harrison is still untitled but will be sad and slow - "the way George was," Rupkina revealed.

He died of cancer on November 29, 2001 in Las Angeles. Along with Kate Bush and Peter Gabriel, the guitar player was one of the foreign musicians to record together with famous Bulgarian trio Bulgarka.
