GEN. MARIN~SOCIALIST VICE PRESIDENT NOMINATION

General Anguel Marin will be nominated for leftist Vice President, was decided at a plenary session of the Higher Council of the Bulgarian Socialist Party. The delegates approved the candidature of Marin with 87 votes in favor. Only Iliana Yotova abstained. General Marin did not attend the plenary session. The Socialist leader and Candidate for President Georgi Purvanov briefly presented the biography of the to-be-candidate for Vice President. General Marin run for Parliament as leader of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms list during the last elections. He was not elected, though. Before the plenum, Purvanov had a short meeting with Ahmed Dogan, leader of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms but refused to comment on it.
