`The decision of NATO member states to support Washington will undoubtedly have a impact on the behaviour of the countries wishing to join the Alliance,` Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Elena Poptodorova said. Poptodorova said that as comment on the statement of NATO Secretary General George Robertson in Brussels that Washington can rely on the full support of the rest NATO members. According to Popotodorova the statement is not surprising. Popotodorova said that this is to be followed by joint decisions and joint actions within the Alliance. She recalled that Bulgaria has stated in a number of official documents, including a Cabinet`s decision and a declaration of the National Assembly, that it will act as a true NATO ally and observe Article 5 of the North Atlantic Treaty in the the formation of a global coalition against terrorism. `There will be more demands from Bulgaria too,` Poptodorova said but stressed that none new ones have come so far. She said that all requests will be considered in terms of the way and time of their arrival and observing the laws and regulations in Bulgaria.
