C & W SELLS SHARES IN MOBILE OPERATOR

Cable & Wireless is to sell its share in the Bulgarian NMT mobile operator Mobikom, Dnevnik Daily announced. John Munnery, local Mobikom manager confirmed. C & W owns 49 % of the operator, rest belongs to Bulgarian Telecom and a Radiotelecoms - both state companies. American and German firms are potential buyers, sources said. Mobikom was the first ever Bulgarian mobile operator launched in 1994 with more than 350 000 subscribers.
