Pirita Sorsa, resident representative of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to Bulgaria opened Thursday a fundraising exhibition of photographs she made during her two-year stay in the country.
The pictures show some of Bulgaria's most famous tourist destinations including the towns of Nessebar, Melnik, Bansko as well as the Rodopi and Rila mountains. The exhibition also features three pictures of Pirita Sorsa taken by Croatian Ambassador to Bulgaria Tonci Stancic.
Funds raised at the event will be used for helping children at the orphanage in the Bulgarian town of Lukovit as well as other homeless or abandoned children in the country.
