Salimet company won the auction for sale of the automobile plant Ustrem 2, offered by VMZ-Sopot. Salimet was the only candidate with an offer of DEM 493,000. The automobile plant is a part of the non-operative assets of the weapon works in Sopot. Salimet is a branch of the popular Turkish tailor firm UKI. The income from the sale will be translated to VMZ-Sopot and will be used to pay back the debts of the plant.
